Patrick has been in and out of the university sector for years. Initially as a lecturer and then as a writer, researcher, speech writer, sector advocate and recently consulting with universities on specific issues.

He also works with a NGO who concentrates on providing prevention education programmes for HIV positive youth and orphans and vulnerable children. His work involves the writing of curricula for youth to develop awareness of HIV as well as providing decision making and life-skills for young people.

For light relief, Patrick has conceptualised marketing and advertising campaigns and even written copy.
